At last night's board meeting, the Board honored President Dot Theodore for being a strong advocate for public education and the right of every child to the highest quality education in a nurturing and safe environment for her last eight years on the Board of Education.
The Board also honored Assemblymember Quirk for always advocating for public education. Dr. Quirk has been a valuable ally to the Castro Valley Unified School District and other school districts in Alameda County by seeking input on legislation impacting public schools.
